About the EVENT
This in‑person Bytes event at the Wallacespeace Clerkenwell in London is the “arrival” chapter in the Engineering 2028 story. Building on Engineering 2028: Leading Human + AI Teams Responsibly, we’ll explore what mature AI‑enabled leadership actually looks like when teams have moved beyond experimentation into true orchestration.
Instead of another abstract future‑of‑work talk, we’ll get concrete about the Orchestrator identity: engineers and leaders who conduct ensembles of humans and AI agents rather than just writing more code. We’ll dive into the human moat – strategy, ethics, empathy, leadership, creativity – and how the most effective leaders design around these distinctly human strengths. Expect candid discussion of growth vs efficiency and how AI amplifies your existing culture, for better and worse.
You’ll leave with:
- A vivid picture of a 2028 engineering organisation where “orchestrator” is the defining identity, not a buzzword.
- Practical patterns for Core vs Edge team structures, and how to balance stability with high‑velocity experimentation.
- Insight into how AI amplifies culture – and what to do if your current system would amplify the “bad parts”.
- Concrete leadership practices to sustain a durable human moat in an AI‑saturated landscape.
This session is for CTOs, CPTOs, VPs, Heads of Engineering, and senior leaders who want to see, and help build, what mature human+AI leadership really looks like – and to connect with peers committed to getting there together.
