Then in conjunction with his business partner Edwyn Van Rooyen this evolved into becoming founding Ambassador Members of CTO Craft, and their company Toolagen becoming a trusted partner, investor and shareholder in CTO Craft.

Meet Amar Galla and Edwyn Van Rooyen, Ambassador Members of CTO Craft
Amar Galla, Director, Toolagen
A computer science graduate and a technology enthusiast since early 2000’s, he is extremely passionate about computers & technology. Having launched his first web startup at the age of 16, he is also very interested in business & startups.
Amar has over a decade of experience setting up, leading & growing technology teams to deliver successful projects. Along with a wealth of consulting expertise across multiple industries like Insurance, Legal, Manufacturing, Fraud Investigations, Ecommerce, Local Government, Policing etc and large enterprises like Zurich, Tate & Lyle, Linklaters, Ashurst, Royal Bank of Scotland, Vodafone, Diageo etc, he is also a Fractional CTO at various startups.
Outside of technology, having launched a successful e-commerce business, he has acquired a lot of knowledge in brand building, international trade, overseas production, retail, logistics and warehousing.
Currently his main focus as the CEO of Toolagen, a Startup Studio based in Surrey, is to ensure that all portfolio startups are successful and profitable businesses.
Edwyn van Rooyen, Director, Toolagen
Edwyn van Rooyen is a seasoned entrepreneur, investor, and business leader with a multifaceted background in law, business, and technology. Currently serving as the Commercial Director of Toolagen Studio, Edwyn has successfully scaled businesses, raised significant funding, and led high-profile exits across various industries. He holds a Master’s in Business, which further complements his expertise in strategic leadership and growth.
As the former CEO of Validus-IVC, Edwyn identified inefficiencies in the insurance sector and pioneered automated solutions that streamlined claims processes, saved millions, and reduced fraud. His expertise extends to healthcare, where, as the founder of T-Cup Ltd., he designed an innovative platform focused on employee well-being, blending self-reflective technology with secure, authentic connections in hybrid work environments.
With a background in law and a Master’s in Business, Edwyn brings a unique perspective to tech-driven innovation, ensuring that integrity, privacy, and ethical considerations are at the forefront of every solution. Beyond his professional accomplishments, he is also an avid rugby enthusiast, a dedicated family man, and a passionate advocate for balancing life’s demands with personal fulfilment.
